Airliner Tin Friction Toy
Before batteries were the norm, toys were powered by winding them up with a key or a type of friction motor.
Rubbing the wheels over and over against a surface built up energy in its motor. Release the toy and and off it went.
This Airliner toy is a throwback to the Sky Clippers of the 50's. Not only does the motor turn it's wheels but the props also spin.
Plane is 6 1/2 inches long, wingspan is just under 7 inches.
For Collectors (not recommended for young children due to possible sharp metal edges)
